At Hand Therapy Plus Total Body Rehab, our mission is to provide the highest quality rehabilitation services to restore optimal functional recovery to individuals that are suffering from chronic pain, injury, illness, or disability.

Kelsey Carrico MS, OTR/L, CHT

Owner

Kelsey worked for Hand Therapy Plus as an OT for 3 years before she took over ownership in June of 2019. She graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2013 with her Bachelor's in Exercise Science. She obtained her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Spalding University. Kelsey was also a student and a therapy technician here prior to going to OT school.  She is a Certified Hand Therapist, specialized in treating all conditions from the hand to the shoulder, fabricating custom hand to elbow orthotics, and is certified in dry needling. She is a Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, provides women's health services, and pelvic floor therapy.

 

She grew up in New Albany, IN, and moved to Owensboro in high school where she graduated from Daviess County. She lives in Philpot with her husband, Brad; 2 daughters, Kamille and Kamryn; 11 chickens, dog, and cat. She enjoys yoga, playing volleyball, hunting, nature, and spending time with friends/family.


Kayley Main PT,DPT

Kayley joined the Hand Therapy team in June of 2020. She obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Indiana University in 2020. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health & Physical Education from Oakland City University. She has additional certifications in the Otago Falls Prevention program, Level 1 of the Graston Technique, and dry needling.

 

Kayley is from Huntingburg, Indiana. She enjoys spending time with family, playing softball, and outdoor activities including hunting and fishing.

She has experience treating patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal and neurological disorders, including patients seeking post-operative rehabilitation. She is passionate about helping patients reach their health and wellness goals and treating patients with a holistic, individualized approach.


Travis Ausland, OTR/L

Trav Ausland has been practicing Occupational Therapy for 20 years working in the nursing home, home health, and outpatient settings. He has specialized training in manual therapy, vestibular retraining, low vision retraining and pain management. He has lived in the Owensboro area for 18 years and grew up in Washington State. He is an Army veteran and former correction officer. Trav and his wife have three active teeangers. In his down time he enjoys playing guitar, church activities, and sports. 


Sherri McNulty PTA

Sherri graduated from Madisonville’s PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) program in 2015. She is an Owensboro native and is excited to practice in her own community. She has recently completed her Sacroiliac, Lumbar & Pelvic Dysfunction Certification. She has worked in an inpatient setting for over 4 years and loves helping her patients reach their goals and get back to their independence. She enjoys spending time with her husband and son. She also enjoys watching UK basketball!.


Ashlee Hicks COTA/L

Ashlee has been practicing in outpatient orthopedics for over five years, she has been with Hand Therapy Plus since June 2018. She attended and obtained degrees from Western Kentucky University and Madisonville Community College. Ashlee is skilled in manual therapy and Myofascial Release Techniques, and also has a background specializing in women’s health and pelvic floor dysfunction.

Ashlee resides in Owensboro with her husband, Heath, their son and their two dogs. She enjoys cooking and traveling in her spare time. Ashlee is passionate about helping others and is always striving to improve her therapy skills so she can better serve her patients.


Deanna Crick

Billing Specialist

Deanna has been with Hand Therapy Plus since January 2014. Deanna comes to us all the way from Pennsylvania. She has 15 years of experience will medical billing.

 

She lives in McLean County with her husband and cat. Deanna enjoys coloring, traveling, and thrift shopping.
